JANNAH GRAY was among seven girls and five guys from Christian Surfers who volunteered to work for Surfing Victoria at the Rip Curl Pro held at Bells Beach over Easter this year...

“We were working under Christian Surfers to help out Surfing Victoria. For most of the days, we split our time between counting all the visitors who came through the gates and working in the Surfing Vic tent handing out flyers. The group of boys who helped out were stuck in the heat in the car park attending vehicles, which turned out to be a tedious job.

The girls and I got to meet many famous surfers: Kelly Slater, Occy (Mark Occhilupo) and others. We also got to hang out with Tom Curran’s little boy and met Mark Philippoussis and Delta Goodrem, which was an added bonus.

“We work at the Rip Curl pro because as Christian Surfers we want to serve the surfing community. At other events we usually run hospitality tents serving free food and drinks. It’s a way for we as Christian Surfers to

“God’s presence is there whenever we do these things for Him and others do notice. Please pray and support the work of Christian Surfers - it’s a whole lot more than just surfing. It’s all about people and building relationship and the kingdom of God.”

serve and be a witness to everyone involved in the surfing scene.

"We don’t ask for anything in return but this year Surfing Victoria blessed us for our time working at the Pro with a donation. It’s great to see that we are really appreciated when we get a mention of thanks at the presentations.
