Historian Geoffrey Blainey's A Short History of Christianity, Baptist theologian Ross Clifford's Apologetic Preaching and Teaching for the Church and the Marketplace, and Cameron Semmens' The Zoo In You all have books short-listed for this year's Australian Christian Book of the Year.

Others included on the Society of Promoting Christian Knowledge Australia (SPCKA)'s list are Shan Joseph's Colour Worms, Murray Seiffert's Gumbuli of Ngukurr, Cecily Patterson's Love, Tears and Autism, and Sharon Witt's Teen Talk Parent Talk.

The winner will be announced at an awards ceremony in Melbourne next month.

This year's judges are Brisbane barrister Alex Crawford, Chantelle Ogilvie-Ellis, justice and preace promoter for the Catholic Archdiocese of Sydney, and Mark Conner, senior minister at CityLife Church in Melbourne.
