Tonight I watched the news
There were stories of countries
In the midst of war
People, like you and me
Experiencing the tragic everyday
Having to find food and shelter
Having to find beds in hospitals
The loss of loved ones

Tonight I watched the news
There were stories of countries
In the midst of war
People, like you and me
God I can’t imagine what this is like
I have food and shelter
I have a bed to sleep in
To lose an innocent loved one, I cannot imagine

Tonight I watched the news
There were stories of countries
In the midst of war
People, like you and me
God, please be with these people
In their time of need
Please provide for them
Comfort them, they need You
